Firstly, Pigmentum^TM is a herbal regimen and involves no chemical substances. It relies solely on the healing powers nature has put in various naturally occurring plants and herbs. However, at the same time substantive help has been taken from the techniques of modern scientific enquiry in understanding the mechanism of how the treatment actually works.

HOW PIGMENTUMTM WORKS

Fundamentally, Pigmentum^TM works via the body's own natural system to enhance the production of melanin responsible for skin pigmentation. Melanin is what gives the skin its color. In fact it is melanin that is also responsible for hair and eye color along with protecting the skin against excessive sunlight.
Pigmentum^TM is able to achieve this result by working in two ways:

Firstly, Vitiligo affected areas of the skin are generally deficient in Melanocytes. Melanocytes are special kinds of skin cells that are responsible for the production of melanin. Pigmentum^TM works to enhance the production of Melanocytes that in turn increase the amount of Melanin in the skin.

Secondly, it is possible that despite having sufficient melanocytes their melanin producing capacity is lowered. This is possible due to any one out of three reasons; toxicity damage, immune system issues and neural problems. Further discussion would make this writing too technical for most readers. However, the important point to understand is that Pigmentum^TM addresses all three possibilities together.

The two way treatment of Pigmentum^TM mentioned above is critical and without addressing both these factors it is not possible for any Vitiligo treatment to ever be effective. DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS

The Pigmentum^TM regimen is convenient to follow and does not require the disruption of your normal life style. There are no lotions, creams or oils to be applied on the skin. Pigmentum^TM comes as oral herbal pills taken with plain water twice a day mornings and evenings. The normal dose is two tablets twice a day mornings and evenings for moderate Vitiligo and two tablets thrice a day for severe cases.

DURATION OF TREATMENT

In one month the patient notices a clear improvement in his or her condition. Within three months the patient should be fully recovered. To be sure a four month course is recommended. Some times it is possible for the skin to appear fully pigmented however, remnants of the underlying causes can still remain intact but invisible to the naked eye. Hence we recommend not to stop treatment as soon as the skin appear pigmented but to continue till your four months are over.

CAUCASIAN AND NON-CAUCASIAN SKIN TYPES

Pigmentum^TM comes in two versions, Pigmentum^TM Plus for Caucasian skin and Pigmentum^TM Pro for non Caucasian skin.
